Hello! My name is Dr. Abed Hamidi, I am born and raised in Ottawa. I received my Bachelor’s in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. I played football in Ottawa throughout my childhood and into my young adult years; from minor club leagues at the age of ten to the collegiate level at the University of Ottawa.
This is where I found my passion in rehabilitation and healthcare.
Through many injuries and surgeries sustained during my time as an athlete, I understand the value of staying on top of your own health. I am very passionate about helping and supporting individuals to return to their daily routines and re-engage in activities that are important to them through chiropractic care. I am very eager to return back to the community where I grew up and support its members with achieving their personal health goals through chiropractic care.
Dr. Abed Hamidi is a licensed chiropractor at the CCO.
As a chiropractor, my main mission is for my patients to reach their goals through evidence-based treatments and recommendations.
Whether that be lowering pain levels, increasing physical activity, providing education on mobility and posture or improving overall quality of life. Through my care, I will take the time to educate my patients on their specific conditions so when they leave the clinic, they understand what it takes to self-manage their symptoms.
Although though my athlete days are behind me, I am still a young kid at heart who loves to play sports. In my spare time, I love to play a variety of different sports – you can catch me on tennis, pickleball, basketball or volleyball courts in the city. I also love to watch NFL games and am an avid fantasy football general manager (I am always up to hearing your fantasy football stories and trades from your leagues!). I also love experimenting with cooking, checking out food spots around Ottawa, and travelling to new places.
“I look forward to meeting and working with you to achieve your goals.”
